Objectives

  • Pictures of nanofibers from yesterday: macro and micro
  • Run tests on new nanofiber-coated scaffolds (including cell culture, stronger acid, and extended sonication)
  • Brute force method with 0.5mM gold-Myoglobin nanofibers
  • Autoclave one dry, one wet scaffold

Myoglobin and BSA Nanofiber Results

  • 160:1 BSA

  • 120:1 BSA

  • 80:1 BSA

  • 100:1 Myoglobin

  • 60:1 Myoglobin

Nanofiber Retention Tests

  • For 160:1, 120:1, and 80:1 BSA and 60:1 Myoglobin nanofibers
  1. Sonicate for 30 minutes
  2. Heat at 30C for 30 minutes
  3. Ethanol
  4. PBS
  5. strong acid

Autoclaved Scaffolds

  • PLA scaffolds were dry autoclaved
  • Scaffolds did not melt as expected
