Beginning New Film Synthesis

Procedure detailed by Dr Hartings

  • Polymer-10% Clay Film
    • 1.0039g PVA and 0.1128g sodium montmorillonite (~1g PVA and ~.1g NaM)
  • Polymer Film
    • 1.0036g PVA (~1g)

Malachite Green Stock Solutions

  • 2.0ppm
    • (2.0ppm)(100mL)=(200.0ppm)*V
    • V=1mL of 200.0ppm solution in 99.0mL water
  • 1.7ppm (25mL)
    • (1.7ppm)(25mL)=(8.0ppm)*V
    • V=5.31mL of 8.0ppm solution in 19.69mL water
