Research Info
- I've got a PhD from Penn State University, where I worked in the Richard Lab. It was excellent there.
- After that I spent four years in Iowa, where I worked for Cargill doing fermentation research.
- I currently do fermentation research for BASF's enzyme business in San Diego, CA.
Graduate Work
- Development of a Silage Inoculant for Biological Pretreatment of Lignocellulosic Biomass.
- Production of heterologous proteins in Lactobacillus plantarum.
- Xylanases
- Ferulic Acid Esterases
- Laccases
- Determination of ideal enzyme secretion levels based on a balance between production and survival
- Optimization of endogenous beneficial enzymes (not regulated under TSCA)
