Colloid v. Fiber Formation
Six solutions of differing [Au]:[Protein] ratios were made with ratios from 10:1 to 60:1. 0.5 mL of HAuCl4 was always used and differing amounts of protein. Water was added to make each solution volume 5 mL. See chart below for volumes of solutions used. The test tubes in which the solutions were combined were then placed in an oven a 80°C for 3 hours.
