ObjectiveToday we took UV/Vis spectra of the amino acid solutions made on 9/3. Description
UV-Vis Absorbance Curves for Amino AcidsFluorometryBelow is a graph of the data acquired from fluorometry on 81.2 nM L-Tryptophan. A wavelength of 275 nm was used to excite the solution. The small molarity is the result of a 2500:1 dilution of a 203 μM solution of L-Tryptophan. Tryptophan was the only one of our 5 amino acids that produced any significant results in UV-Vis and was, therefore, the only amino acid that was tested using Fluorometry.
