Objective
Completing film synthesis The ion exchanged clays were processed using the procedure from 8/29/2014
Creating New Films Our cation exchanged clays were made as follows:
Note: Because film created using the tributylhexadecylphosphonium bromide exchanged-clay had flakes of the clay clumped throughout the films, today I ground our exchanged-clay into a finer powder using a mortar and pestle for use in today's film synthesis.
