September 24, 2014Bradford Analysis of DialysisA Bradford analysis was done on the dialysis samples prepared and dialyzed last week.
50 mM NaCl stock solution with 3500 g/mol MWCO tubing 50 mM Glycine stock solution with 3500 g/mol MWCO tubing Pure water with 3500 g/mol MWCO tubing 50 mM Glycine stock solution with 25k g/mol MWCO tubing 50 mM Glycine stock solution with 3500 g/mol MWCO tubing
NOTE: As mentioned previously, the contents of the tube in the fourth system (50 mM glycine solution with 25K g/mol MWCO tubing) were lost during transfer; thus, only four tubing samples are included in the results.
NOTE: Negative concentrations of protein in the soak solutions may be a result of protein precipitation. CaCl2 ConductivityA hard water probe sensitive only to specific polyvalent cations such as Ca2+ was used to measure the conductivity in mV of 5 solutions of CaCl2 of various concentrations.
NOTE: The results were graphed with conductivity as a function of the log of CaCl2 concentration. |
