This space is being used to develop a class for MIT freshmen interested in engineering of biology. Material to include: introduction to genetic program of bacterial and euk cells, and fundamental/distinctive aspects of synthetic biology, with emphasis on measurements/standards. End of term project will be specification of a system, allowing a smooth transition to iGEM if desired.
