Initial Gathering + Finalization of semester plan

Dr. Zou has prepared 5mM HAuCL4 (Gold tetrachloride) solution. This is the gold source that will be used for the duration of the semseter.

Instead of using full polypeptides, initially we will use amino acids (as they are readily available at the lab). We will be using N-capped Arginine (however non-capped Arg has also been ordered), L-cysteine, and L-glutamine.

We will further explore polypeptides after the intial AA experiments have been carried out.

Questions: A protein contains many amino acids. If we use the same molarity of AA as we did for a full protein, there will obviously be less AA available to react with. Will this affect the efficiency/magnitude of nanoparticle formation?
