Being the first day of the course, we ran a few simple experiments and made a couple of simple solutions: | |||
#A 100 mL solution of 1.71 mM NaCl in H<sub>2</sub>O | |||
#10 mL of 13.5 µM methylene blue dye from an 87 ppm stock | |||
#50 mL of HCl with the same concentration as the HAuCl<sub>4</sub> | |||
The experiments we ran were: | |||
#Water densities versus temperature | |||
##10 1 mL samples of H<sub>2</sub>O were massed to determine the density at room temperature | |||
#Water was rinsed in "clean" glassware, and a UV-VIS was run to determine if the glassware was clean | |||
