Making HAuCl4 and Lysozyme Stocks
Next, solutions were made with gold:protein ratios of 10:1 to 60:1. (See the table). The test tubes were placed in at 80°C for three hours, starting at 13:00.
Kinetics0.5 mL of HAuCl4 stock and 0.166 mL of Lysozyme stock were added to three test tubes for a 30:1 gold to protein ratio. 4.33 mL of 80°C water was added. Kinetics runs were done every 30 minutes with 2.5 mL of sample in plastic cuvette from 800-360 nm. Started at 13:35. This was rerun. See here for the results.
