Dr. Hartings, Andrew, and I attempted to purify the Mn-Mb I made during the semester. We used the 100 mM Phosphate buffers, and everything eluted through the column. So, Andrew and I made 50 mM Tris buffer and 50 mM Tris/1M NaCl buffer. 6.057g of Tris was added to each, and 1 mol of NaCl (58.44g) were added, 900 mL of H<sub>2</sub>O were added, and titrated to pH 9 with 3M HCl. The remaining volume was added, each solution was filtered with a fritted funnel, and autoclaved.
