Day 7

  • Goals:
  1. Run UV- Vis on mixtures prepared on 2/5
  2. Using the Sclenk line method of prep and the oven method, prepare new magnetite nanoparticle/fiber solutions at new ratios. This ratio is the same as the ratios used in the preparation of hemoglobin and magnetite solutions which were prepared using the Schlenk line.
  3. Use FTIR to analyze magnetite nanoparticles/ fibers which were dried on 2/4
  4. Dry the colloid suspensions from the reaction mixtures prepared on 2/4 . These dried particulates will be analyzed using FTIR and XRD.
