Hi, I am from Cape Comerin or Kanyakumari, the southern most tip of India, where supposedly the Indian Ocean meets the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. My hometown is famous for fish and coconuts. Back home we have fish everyday with every meal maybe except in morning.

I did my medical training in Stanley Medical College, Chennai, one of the oldest medical institutions in India. I think I did well in my medical school. I had a large gang of friends to hang around who got me elected as a batch representative during my pre-final years. I played cricket and football during my school days. I love chess. I am not an expert but I love the game, the complex possibilities, the silly mistakes, the chance to rebound back, the strategy, the critical decisions etc etc. In many ways it simulates real life. I am trained in Yoga. I was once an expert in doing Shirsasana-heads down and legs up, a kind of upside down posture. I read a lot, mainly non-fiction. I love biographies of interesting people. I am interested in safeguarding the environment. I want to travel to every country in the world. You can reach me at bimal.alilabs@gmail.com
