  • Toady's research included the continuation of last week's UV spectrum analysis. The previous samples, with absorbance rates of 4.00 or higher in the 300-400 nm region. New samples were produced by adding 1 mL of DMF to 2.5 microliters of the most concentrated solution (1 mL DMF with ~2 mg of the substance)in order to produce a solution that was four times more dilute than the original, aiming for absorption closer to 1.00. These new dilutions were run through the UV spectrometer, and the results were graphed.
