BSA and HAuCl4 Stock Solutions

  • Au solution of HAuCl4:3H2O
    • MW = 393.83 g/mol
    • in 10mL 2.5mM solution, I need 9.096mg HAuCl4:3H2O
      • actual amount used: 10.21mg
      • therefore, I need 12.07mL H2O
  • BSA solution
    • MW = 66776g
    • in 20mL 15μM solution, I need 20.032mg BSA
      • actual amount used: 21.5mg BSA
      • therefore, I need 21.47mL of H2O

20mL Hydrogels 130K PVA; Various Ratios

  • Ratio 1: 60 Au:BSA
    • fixed: .25mM Au
    • new BSA: 0.00417mM
    • solution: 2mL 2.5mM Au + 5.56mL 15μM BSA + 12.44mL H2O
  • Ratio 2: 90 Au:BSA (2 dishes of this ratio)
    • fixed: .25mM Au
    • new BSA: 0.00278mM
    • solution: 2mL 2.5mM Au + 3.70mL 15μM BSA + 14.30mL H2O
