Oct 29- PVA + Clay beads

Objective

Attempt to create beads using the PVA with clay and cross linking it with 10% HCl suspended in acetone.

Notes

PVA with clay was mixed using the procedure from Aug 27

Weights

  • PVA 1.006g
  • Clay 0.1118g

After the PVA with clay was mixed and cooled to room temperature 0.50 mL of glutaraldehyde was added. This mixture was then added drop wise to a burette that was filled with a solution of 20 mL %10 HCl and 60 mL of acetone (1:3 ratio).
