I am a 4th year PhD student in the Systems Biology Graduate Program at Harvard, working on biofuels and mRNA metabolism. Prior to Harvard, I attended the Technion Institute of Technology where I majored in Biotechnology Engineering (B.Sc.) while meeting great friends along the way. I grew up in the sunny country of Israel, and also spent a few childhood years here in the states. Outside of lab, I like traveling and playing sports, particularly basketball, tennnis, gym, and skiing. And although I don't cook, I love eating (all the time).

Research Interests

Synthetic Biology I'm interested in harnessing the toolbox of synthetic biology to engineer novel genetic circuits that produce energy. To do so, I engineered a system consisting of yeast and E. coli which can produce hydrogen from sugar.

Systems-level understanding of mRNA metabolism

I like a variety of sports (basketball, tennis, skiing..) and hangin out with friends.
