I can help you by getting more data points, so that you can run the initial experiments, while I run reiterations so that you can spend your time on more important things. When I suggested this to you today, you said that you did want me to become a robot by doing the same things over and over again. While I appreciate that you want to keep me interested with newer things, I think that I might use the techniques, like optical tweezers and gliding motility assays, later on. I might not use it in graduate school and beyond, but at least while I'm still here at UNM, I will probably still use them. The only way that I can guarantee that I am learning how to do something, is if I practice doing it. But of course, my first job is to learn as much as possible.
