Tape melting sucks!

Steve Koch 22:32, 1 April 2009 (EDT): I always used the gel pouring apparatus that comes with the electrophoresis kits. I know that Osley lab has these around. It's much better than taping the ends with autoclave tape, I don't know why anyone would want to do that???? You just put the tray in the thing, and then move the lever which squeezes the tray with two gaskets to seal it. I always poured boiling hot agarose into those things and never had a problem.
