You kick some serious ass at developing algorithms in LabVIEW, I am amazed at how quickly you got this going! I agree with you that there are a lot of details to iron out (and these may take quite a while), but you've made the huge step of getting it to work really well on that one image series. I'm looking forward to discussing the details with you, but for now, I'm just impressed and really happy that we'll have something to make measuring velocities so soon. If you can get the software pretty easy to use, it's definitely going to be very useful to other scientists.

Steve Koch 02:56, 9 June 2009 (EDT): One worry about binarizing (a word Susie used that I had only heard my friend Darin use previously when he was tracking flame fronts in laser tomography): Binarizing could cause blooming or erosion of images more than you'd like. You could use a scheme where you binarize (threshold) to find them, but still use the 8 or 12-bit images in your subsequent tracking.
