Wittrup: Cell culture protocols

The following is a recipe for a basic culture media. It is best to research the cell line you plan to use in order to determine if it has any special requirements.

Media

440 mls media (eg: RPMI, AMEM, DMEM)

50 mls FBS (for 10% FBS by volume)

5 ml pen-strep (optional antibiotic)

5 ml L-glutamine

Pen-strep, L-glutamine, and some medias can be purchased from VWR.
