General Information
Background: I was born in Ajutchilan del Progresso, Guerrero, Mexico and later moved to Santa Ana, California. I became the first in my family to attend a university. I then graduated from the University of California, Davis in Biomedical Engineering.
Research: At UC Davis, my work consisted testing the toxicity of novel imaging compounds that target atherosclerosis. During the summer of 2006, utilized multiphoton microscopy (MPM)to study the migration of glioblastoma cells in a 3-D collagen environment. I'm currently looking into combining a tissue engineering, scaffold development, and imaging into a project.
Hobbies: I enjoy listening to good music, and dancing my heart out. I am currently learning how to play the guitar and will be taking singing lessons soon :o). Of course, I enjoy site seeing, going to the beach ( thanks to California), and just being around good friends and company.
