Example of a poorly designed figure. The labels are too small; the figure has a title; the lines cannot be distinguished by a person who is color blind; the upper right part of the figure frame is not necessary and only adds visual clutter; the two lines indicating x=0 and y=0 are too thick and distract from the main content of the figure (the colored lines).
