Questions about this paper:

Q: How easy is it to modify part via directed evolution?
A: Difficulty is beyond the scope of the project.

Q: Any tips for multi-module design ?
A: Try to keep the number of modules small.

Day 3 (17 July 2007)

James and Lucas

Questions about this paper:

Q: How can we determine whether a plasmid has the insert?
A: If the insert disrupts a gene in the plasmid that codes for an antibiotic resistance, the bacteria with the correct recombinant plasmid will be susceptible to the antibiotic on the replica plate.
