Born in Livermore, California, June 14th, 1979
Attended Harvard Summer School during Junior Summer of 1996
Started Cornell Fall of 1997

  • Summer and Winter intern at Lawrence Livermore National Lab in the Medical Photonics Group, conducted research with an ultrashort pulse laser for dental applications (link to publication)
  • Worked as an undergraduate in a machine shop, a research lab, and the Cornell Nanofabrication Facility on a biosensor project for Prof. Antje Baeumner
  • Fall 1999 and Summer 2000 Co-op for Merck & Co., Worked in Sterile Technology and Engineering on several vaccine and sterile pharma projects (including the Scale-Up and Engineering Batches of Cancidas)

Started MIT Fall of 2001

  • Teaching Assistant for the BE.109 Laboratory class, Spring 2003
  • Taught and Led the MIT Rock Climbing PE course, 2002-2004
