Steve Koch 23:38, 16 September 2008 (EDT):I'll find some good links for this, and make a page on our main wiki.

  • Write down as much as possible! A good frame of reference is to imagine that a student in next year's class should be able to repeat your measurements by reading your raw data notebook.
  • Need to record all the equipment used, including model numbers. Pictures are really great for conveying how you set something up!
  • Put links to original methods you are following and make note of all deviations from those methods.

Also, put in lab notebook entries for substantial data analysis

Take a look at other people's graded notebooks!

I may have forgotten something in your first graded notebook, and this is a great way to see what's expected / desired
