Random Stuff on April 15, 2009

  • took photos of ethanol cleared sections of PopCTL1:GUS lines 15, 19, 20 - Woo, there's vascular staining!
  • editing latest seed tRFLP results cut by DdeI, HaeIII, HhaI - there was a paper about other enzymes like DdeI (and Sau961, BstUI, and MspI) being useful for this. - http://aem.asm.org/cgi/content/abstract/69/8/4823?ck=nck
  • got email from Antonio (UNAM) about collaboration in Mexico
  • preparing agar overlays for tommorow
  • made overnights of haploid yeast strains AH109 and Y187 for overlays tommorow
  • watering PopCTL1::GUS plants with fertilizer to stimulate longer more robust growth
