The Daily Grind

  • Redid VP test on endophytes and BACs using 100 ul per well of 5g/l creatine mixed 3:1 with 75 g/L alpha napthol in 2.5 M sodium hydroxide. To this was added 200 ul of culture grown overnight with 1% glucose. Photos were taken and readings taken of colour change using 96 well plate reader at 490 nm and 540 nm (neither of these readings seemed to have worked).
  • Took photos of antagonism plates for E. coli, Bacillus, and Yeast, then tried to see if AHL study worked (maybe a bit)
  • IAA membrane study didn't work and I'm not sure why : will redo
