Tuesday 13th April 2010 I made 1 lt of LB solid medium using: Peptone 10g Yeast extract 5g NaCl 10g Agar 15g Procedure: Weigh the ingredients but the agar and place them into a flask Add 250ml of water to dissolve and shake until it looks even, meanwhile place 3.5g of agar in 4 schott bottles Fill in a graduated cylinder with the mixture of the ingredients and water up to 1lt. Add 250ml of the mixture with all the water to every schott bottle, then put the in the sterilizer to melt.
