Testing the 40% Bentonite beads The 40% Bentonite beads were tested using the same method as that from before. Observations 30% Bentonite beads from solution: Another 7 MG rinses were performed, bringing the total to 23 MG rinses. The 30% Bentonite beads are still absorbing all of the MG stock solution, further necessitating more MG rinses; however, we predict that only a few more rinses will be necessary before MG begins to elute from the beads. 40% Bentonite beads from solution: 8 MG rinses were performed, further rinses will be necessary. About 12 drops per minute The 40% Bentonite beads should take longer to elute MG from the column than the previous columns before it; therefore, we predict that many more MG rinses will be necessary.
