Genome Rearrangements in Hfx. mediterranei
- JE forwarded an email from Adit Naor in reference to PCR product suggesting that inversion of large region in Hfx. mediterranei shown in sequencing is not real.
- They have a different strain and the inversion could have happened recently
- The inversion is not stable and both could be present in the population (mate pairs in sequence data actually might support both arrangements of the genome)
- PCR experiment might not be valid. Are the primers unique enough? Negative control?
