Entry title First I created 8 gels with 15 g of Citric acid and 15 g of cellulose in each tray. Biomineralization: In two vials .25 g of the gel was combined with 15 mL of H2O .25 g of the gel was placed into two more vials. Vial a received 256 uL of AU, 167 uL of protein, and 1577 uL H2O. Vial b received 256 uL of AU and 1744 uL of H2O. The last two vials were recreated and closely monitored. Both started to show a slightly purplish hue at 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, it's clear that liquid in the vial with protein has turned purple, rather than the solid.
