Gold:BSA solutions, 60/90/120/150 Ratios

  • Ratio 1: 60 Au:BSA
    • fixed: .25mM Au
    • new BSA: 0.00417mM
    • solution: 1mL 2.5mM Au + 2.78mL 15μM BSA + 6.22mL H2O
  • Ratio 2: 90 Au:BSA (2 vials of this ratio)
    • fixed: .25mM Au
    • new BSA: 0.00278mM
    • solution: 1mL 2.5mM Au + 1.85mL 15μM BSA + 7.15mL H2O
  • Ratio 3: 120 Au:BSA
    • fixed: .25mM Au
    • new BSA: 0.00208mM
    • solution: 1mL 2.5mM Au + 1.39mL 15μM BSA + 7.61mL H2O
  • Ratio 4: 150 Au:BSA
    • fixed: .25mM Au
    • new BSA: 0.00167mM
    • solution: 1mL 2.5mM Au + 1.11mL 15μM BSA + 7.89mL H2O
  • All 5 solutions put into the 80°C oven at 9:45AM and taken out at 1:45PM

Autoclaving: poly(vinyl alcohol) + Au:BSA solutions

  • Adding 1.0g of 89-98,000 poly(vinyl alcohol) to Au:BSA solutions
    • 60 Au:BSA solution: added 1.0004g poly(vinyl alcohol)
    • 90 Au:BSA solution: added 0.9998g poly(vinyl alcohol)
    • 90 Au:BSA solution: added 1.0004g poly(vinyl alcohol)
    • 120 Au:BSA solution: added 1.0003g poly(vinyl alcohol)
    • 150 Au:BSA solution: added 1.0008g poly(vinyl alcohol)
  • All solutions put into autoclave at liquid cycle at 1:45PM
  • Taken out at 3:15PM when pressure in the autoclave returned to 0.
