YIZHAO:Teaching
FALL QUARTERBME 768 Biomedical MicrosystemsThis course is to examine Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems (MEMS) as a tool for detecting signals or performing functions for biomedical research and clinical purposes. Emphases are on the operational principles of microsensors and microactuators, fabrication processes, and the interface of microtransducers with biological subjects.
Topics:
WINTER QUARTERBME 767 BioMEMS MicrofabricationOverview of microfabrication technologies, including silicon microfabrication, polymer microfabrication, and advanced microfabrication topics. Microfabrication processes will also be presented to the students by several case studies, including representative microdevices in different fields.
Topics:
SPRING QUARTERBME441 BiomechanicsMechanical characterization of biological tissues at the cellular, organ, and system level; exploration of biomechanical factors of physiological and pathological conditions.
