BSA and HAuCl4 Solutions

  • Au solution of HAuCl4:3H2O
    • MW = 393.83 g/mol
    • in 10mL 2.5mM solution, I need 9.096mg HAuCl4:3H2O
      • actual amount used: 10.01mg
      • therefore, I need 11.0048mL H2O
  • BSA solution
    • MW = 66776g
    • in 20mL 15μM solution, I need 20.032mg BSA
      • actual amount used: 20.24mg BSA

Gold:BSA solutions, 60/90/120/150 Ratios

  • Make stock solutions of 2.5mM Au and 15μM BSA
  • Ratio 1: 60 Au:BSA
    • fixed: .25mM Au
    • new BSA: 0.00417mM
    • solution: 1mL 2.5mM Au + 2.78mL 15μM BSA + 6.22mL H2O
  • Ratio 2: 90 Au:BSA (2 vials of this ratio)
    • fixed: .25mM Au
    • new BSA: 0.00278mM
    • solution: 1mL 2.5mM Au + 1.85mL 15μM BSA + 7.15mL H2O
  • Ratio 3: 120 Au:BSA
    • fixed: .25mM Au
    • new BSA: 0.00208mM
    • solution: 1mL 2.5mM Au + 1.39mL 15μM BSA + 7.61mL H2O
  • Ratio 4: 150 Au:BSA
