Delicate Equipment

  • Photomultiplier tube
    • The photomultiplier tube (PMT) can be seriously damaged if it is exposed to too much light when the high voltage supply is connected and turned on. Make sure that both PMT and the LED source are fully inserted in the cardboard tube before applying HV to the PMT.
  • LED source
    • Make sure to connect the power to the correct BNC input on the LED.
