It seems that aTc & Tc need divalent cation such as Mg2+ for binding with TetR protein. The most popular LB medium do NOT contain determinate Mg2+ or any other divalent cation, well then will aTc work normally in LB medium? marion 09:59, 26 March 2009 (EDT)
