Andy Maloney 02:08, 18 April 2009 (EDT): I like this page a lot! I'd also like to contribute to it at some point in time maybe as a first go, putting some things up about lenses or AOMs to go along with your AOD writeup. I would like to suggest a different hierarchy to the page. I would look something like this:

DNA

Here we talk about labeling DNA for unzipping, sequencing...

Molecular Motors

ipsum blah blah...

Where, the DNA title will take you to a page that lists all the things related to DNA we write about. And in the below description, we can link to the specific pages in the DNA page etc. I think we may want to differentiate between what a protocol to make something is and a protocol to take data is. The page seems a little stream of conscience-y right now. But I love it!

  • Steve Koch 02:21, 18 April 2009 (EDT):I agree, that makes a lot of sense, given our two main projects now. And it's definitely stream of conscience-y, and can be better. Go ahead and make changes if / when you have time. My only request is to attempt to maintain some original page names of specific protocols, when possible. That's just because I'm not sure how google indexing will treat that. But it's not really a big deal, either. Glad you like the page! I'd say I've gotten at least a dozen emails from people around the world asking for clarification and advice after finding these pages. I can recall many from the US, and from Israel, Austrailia, Singapore (I think), India, ... I think that shows that this is an effective way to communicate protocols! Definitely please include all your stuff that you'd like and try out whatever organization system makes sense.
