Tasks for November 12 To measure MG green absorbance by activated carbon and zeolite. Activated carbon 0.1 g of activated carbon were added to scintillation vials. Soaked in 10 ml of 23.3 ppm malachite green solution. 23.3 ppm MG dye solution was made by James and Eleni. Centrifuged and extracted. Note: This method was dropped because activated carbon absorbs almost immediately. Will try new method on Friday using 0.01 g of activated carbon, and filtration instead of centrifuge.
