Description
- Make PVOH, HCl, Water, Bentonite Solution Using values in table Below
- Heat mixture until dissolved (75 C) while stirring (approx 45 mins).
- Add 5 ml dropwise to 30 ml ethyl acetate stirring at 320 rpm.
- After last drop, wait 3 minutes and add 0.5 ml glutaraldehyde. Stir at 340 rpm for 7 minutes.
- Add 7 mL 0.2 M sodium bicarbonate. stir for 30 seconds at 340 rpm.
- Add 0.5 mL glutaraldehyde and stir for 3 minutes.
- Centrifuge and take out Ethyl Acetate. Add water.

Notes
- UV Vis 40 % clean until sample # 30.
- 30 * 5 = 150 mL water was needed to have it clean, compared to 55 ml MG to reach capacity
- Started UV Vis 50 % . Only had 2 samples because flow rate is very slow. 1 hour 15 minutes per 5 ml.
