Objective The purpose of today’s lab was to synthesis more AuNP fibers using a new protocol with different standard solution concentrations because our original synthesis failed to produce any fibers. Procedure Dr. Hartings made the standards with the procedure found in his notebook entry for today The final concentration of gold should be 0.25 mM and the concentration of lysozyme should be 5.56 μM, giving a Au:Lysozyme ratio of 45. This ratio should yield fibers Results This new ratio of AU:lysozyme at 45 successfully created fibers in our 5 mL samples, but our 1mL samples did not create fibers
