I work in the Your Lab at XYZ University. I learned about OpenWetWare from when I google for mRNA extraction protocol I saw the website., and I've joined because Although we isolate mRNA everyday, we do not necessarily know rationale behind it. This is unfortunate, as we turned out to be consumers (we use TRIzol everyday but nobody knows what it does or its ingredients) rather than the scientists. This website hopefully will help me to understand the basic steps behind it..
