Do you have any experience culturing cells (mammalian, yeast or microbial)?
Yes, I've done bacterial cloning and mammalian tissue culture (hepatocytes + haematopoietic stem cells).
Do you have any experience in molecular biology (electrophoresis, PCR, etc)?
Yes, I've got some experience with PCRs, Western Blots and DNA and protein purification.
===Please briefly describe any previous laboratory experience===
I've worked at the MaRS research institute in Toronto in the department of stem cell research and developmental biology working mainly with bacterial cloning and protein purification. I did a UROP in Dr. Bhatia's HST regenerative medecine lab working on a tissue engineering project with hepatocytes. For the past 9 months or so I've worked in Dr. Guarente's lab studying sirtuins in C. elegans to research ageing.
