Day 1: 1/16/2014 Location: Tall Bushes, located on American University's campus in between Hughes Hall and the tunnel. Topography: Area of land that consists of many dead plants. Plants were unidentifiable at the moment. There were many tall bushes and small bushes that had brown, dead leaves on them. The soil that the bushes were in was wet. The area was partially shaded due to the building that was located next to it. All of the other plants around our location were alive, and seemed to be sitting in direct sunlight.

Abiotic: Two sprinkler heads, two light posts, a cement path, various rocks and stones, and trash such as cigaret butts.

Biotic: Short plants, tall plants, bacteria within the soil, worms, squirrels, and a bird in a birds nest.
