Steve Koch 01:10, 1 May 2010 (EDT): Awesome work! I can talk w/ you about smoothing. I think the sliding-window guassian-weighted (or boxcar) smoothing will work. I used gaussian-weighted in the past. It may be built-in to matlab. Also, there's another problem we can discuss -- Brownian motion competing with magnetic force. It will be a cool exercise, but perhaps not accurate, since in these systems the ferritin-labeled proteins will have significant dipole-dipole interactions and, thus, likely much stronger attractions up field gradients.
