Objective Today in lab we ran UV-Vis on all of the synthesized elastin and catalase AuNP's. Procedure The bulk solution was centrifuged for 30min in the large centrifuge upstairs. 1ml of supernatant was then removed in order to run UV-Vis analysis. Data Based on these graphs it becomes apparent that nothing was suspended in the elastin AuNP samples when run due to the lack of any change in signal. Looking at the catalase graph the peak around 550nm had an increase in abs as the ratio increased. Similarly at the peak around 250nm the abs decreased as the ratio increased.
