Objective

  • Stock solutions of BSA and gold were prepared
  • BSA wrapped gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were synthesized using the stock solutions

Description

Stock Solutions: HAuCl4

  • 50mL solution :
  • 2.7mM
  • 0.0458789 grams of HAuCl4

BSA

  • 50mL solutions:
  • 1.57µM
  • 0.00495 grams of BSA

Solutions:

  • 33µL of HAuCl4
  • 1000µL of BSA
  • 8967µL of dH20

Procedure:

  • BSA/AuNP Preparation of 60:1
  • Placed in oven for four hours

Data

  • no AuNPs were synthesized
  • too dilute

Notes

  • The concentrations that will be used for the actual experiments have not been determined yet
