To determine the concentration of Au+3 left unreacted in solution in the fiber solution synthesized on 02/29/12 using electrochemistry.

Description

Determining Concentration of Protein Fibers

  1. Make the following dilutions of chloroauric acid:
    • 5.00 mM
    • 1.00 mM
    • 500 μM
    • 100 μM
    • 50.0 μM
    • 10.0 μM
    • 5.00 μM
    • 1.00 μM
    • 500 nM
    • 100 nM


Effect of Tris Buffer on Protein Fibers

  1. Centrifuge AuNP fibers + 50 mM tris solution made on 02/15/12.
  2. Take UV-vis absorption data.
  3. Compare data to that obtained on 02/15/12, 02/21/12, 02/28/12, and 03/21/12.
